Detox Soup

Beat the smoke that has been in the air the past few weeks with a detox soup!! And since it's CROCTOBER, nothing is easier than putting a bunch of ingredients in a pot to slow cook until dinner time.⁠

This particular recipe is not only delicious, but has many elements that support healthy detoxification for heavy metals and chemicals. Both of which are found in high amounts in this heavy smoke smog. ⁠

⁠INGREDIENTS:⁠ (very important to make sure these are clean & organic)⁠

⁠1 cup of Green Lentils⁠

3 stalks of Celery⁠

1 cup Parsley⁠

1 cup Cilantro⁠

1 large Sweet Potato⁠

½ Onion⁠

3 large Carrots⁠

3 Chard Leaves⁠

Half of a Lemon ⁠

1 box of Free-Range Chicken Bone Broth⁠

Sea Salt⁠

Pepper ⁠

INSTRUCTIONS:⁠

Chop celery, carrots, onion, chard leaves and sweet potato into bite size pieces and place in a crockpot. Then finely chop parsley and cilantro and place in the pot. Add in the green lentils and top of the mixture with the box of Chicken bone broth. Finally squeeze the half lemon into the soup and add salt and pepper to taste. Cook at low heat for 3 hours until lentils are soft and serve over rice or quinoa. ⁠
